Skier dies in avalanche on Imp Peak
Season's first fatality
Montana Living — A skier was killed Oct. 6 in an avalanche on Imp Peak in southwest Montana.
The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center said the avalanche was in a wind-loaded zone low on the peak, and the avalanche was triggered as the skiers ascended the peak.

According to the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center, an avalanche in Sacajawea Bowl was reported on Oct. 3, 2017.
