Thunder over the Falls

GREAT FALLS - The U.S. Thunderbirds will fly over Great Falls this weekend.

Other performers at the air show will include the Firewalkers International Pyro, the Shetterly Squadron, and the Wings of the Blue.

Organizers say as many as 50,000 people will attend the event.

The Thunderbirds team is based at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.

So far this month, the Thunderbirds have performed in Traverse City, Michigan; Paris, France; and RAF Fairford, United Kingdom. 

After the performance in Great Falls, they will head to Cheyenne, Wyoming, for the Frontier Days Air Show, and then on Fairchild AFB, Washington.
