LET SPRING BEGIN - 4 RAVENS GALLERY | 5/8 - 5/31
4 ravens gallery is pleased to present a curated collection of all things spring by our artists. Including clay bird houses by Jo Newhall, forged garden tools by Tuli Fisher, original oil paintings by Rebecca Fiske, paper mâché rabbits by Jennifer Ogden and new work by Ruth Lane, Judith Colvin and Marilyn Bacon.
EXHIBIT: BRINGING NOTICE TO THE ANTHROPOCENE - GALLERY 709 IN MONTANA ART AND FRAMING | 5/8 - 5/26
Gallery 709 in Montana Art and Framing is featuring "Bringing Notice to the Anthropocene" by the Emergency Sci-Art Collective from May 5-26. The Emergency is a collaborative group of scientists and/or artists from the University of Montana interested in making artwork centered around environmental passions, questions, and concerns utilizing collage, painting, fiber art, ceramics, and mixed media.

Revival Comedy offers sign language interpretation upcoming 2023 shows. This month, they are raising money to pay their interpreters for future shows, and they thought they should do it the only way they know how: with a lot of comedy. As part of Open AIR's Indigenous Art: Indigenous Minds Presentation Series, artist DG House will discuss motivation, inspiration, and practical tips on sustaining a career in the arts. PAINT THE STATE ART CONTEST- MONTANA METH PROJECT Montana teens and adults competing in Paint the State 2023 now have the opportunity win up to $20,000. 45 cash prizes totaling over $100,000 will be given to art contest winners in regional and statewide divisions. All Montana residents 13 and older can participate by creating monument-size public works of art that inspire drug-free lives. Registration is open now through May 31. Artwork must be installed by June 30. The goal of the project is to use local traffic signal boxes as “canvases,” greatly enhancing Missoula’s visual surroundings.
