Bozeman students move In Aug. 19-23

It's moving time in Bozeman.

Time for the annual arrival of students back to Montana State University, which will welcome students to its on-campus residence halls Aug. 19–23 during Move-In Weekend.

Students moving in to MSU’s residence halls have assigned check-in times throughout the day, starting at 8 a.m. and ending with 6 p.m. appointments. The students will have two-hour time slots to move in, and, Friday through Sunday, they will have the assistance of hundreds of volunteers from MSU and the community to get their items to their rooms.

Maps of the recommended routes to various residence halls on campus are posted online at montana.edu/housing/halls/moving_in.html. Special Move-In parking permits for student and family vehicles will be downloadable for printing from the same site.

Chancey Ringer, MSU’s Parking Services manager, advised people traveling around campus to be aware of increased traffic due to Move-In and to avoid using Garfield Street to minimize congestion around the North Hedges and South Hedges residence halls. A portion of South 12th Avenue in front of the Hedges buildings, between Grant and Garfield streets, will become a temporary one-way street during Move-In.

Additional information about Move-In is available by calling MSU Student Housing at 406-994-2661.
