Swap benefits non profits working for rivers

If you're a river lover or foater, the Flathead Rivers Alliance and Montana Kayak Academy will have a gear swap Saturday in Columbia Falls.

As part of Public Lands Day Flathead Rivers Alliance and Montana Kayak Academy invites the public to join their season-ending river gear swap Sept. 24 from 2 p.m.to 6 p.m. at Marantette Park. Anyone can bring and sell river-related equipment, new and used during the one day event. This is your chance to buy, sell and swap: rafts, kayaks, paddle boards, inflatable kayaks, life jackets and more.

Any donated gear can be dropped at Lary's Fly & Supply (604 Nucleus Ave., Columbia Falls) through today, or at Marantette Park Sept. 24. Donated gear will be sold Sept. 24 all of those proceeds will benefit non-profit organization programming.
