We tried the new Mid Stripe golf bag from Sun Mountain Sports in Missoula, Montana. We chose a retro green to try out, as it reflects our fifty-something editor’s nod to the ‘70s.

For this golf bag, Sun Mountain used a vinyl fabric that keeps your clubs and accessories dry, even this spring when we golfed in the rain. The backpack straps allow for comfortable carrying, if that’s your gig, and an easy-to-operate leg system.The bag has ample pockets, including a double velour-lined pocket for your shades and phone.

Other features of the Mid Stripe bag are:

• A full-length apparel pocket, two velour-lined valuables pockets, and a beverage pouch.
• Nice, big zippers for quick access during your round
• A single strap is available as an accessory if you would like strap options. The straps have quick-release buckles so straps can be changed in seconds.
• Comes with a box of twenty-five 3 1/4” matching wood tees (Nice touch!)
• Chrome plate that can be customized with initials
• Matching rainhood included
